Blues AFLW coach Keeping hospitalised

Carlton AFL Women’s coach Damien Keeping has been hospitalised and will be unable to lead the Blues against Greater Western Sydney this weekend.

Keeping was admitted to hospital with an unspecified illness on Sunday night and he remains there while he undergoes further testing.

Assistant coach Nick Rutley will deputise for Keeping when Carlton face the Giants at Drummoyne Oval on Friday night.

The Blues opened the AFLW season with an eight-point win against Collingwood at Ikon Park last Friday night.
