Eagles not expecting Cats to get tricky

West Coast coach Adam Simpson isn’t expecting any knee-jerk tricks from Chris Scott despite the Geelong mentor copping a battering in the wake of last week’s qualifying final loss to Collingwood.

The Eagles will start as slight favourites in Friday night’s semi-final against Geelong at the MCG, and the pressure is on Scott to make sure the minor premiers don’t suffer a straight-sets finals exit.

Simpson says Geelong’s system has stood up well all year, and he’s not expecting the Cats to make major changes to their tried and tested game plan.
